The BUILD Project and the Innovation Procurement Task Force are delighted to extend an invitation to our second joint webinar. Taking place on June 28, 2023, from 12:00 to 13:00 CEST via Zoom, this event offers a valuable opportunity to explore the significance of innovation procurement and its potential to modernize public services, optimize costs, and address societal needs. By leveraging insights from peer-to-peer exchanges and consortium collaborations, our goal is to advance public procurement practices and foster a better understanding of comprehensive needs in innovation procurement.

Our Goal:

Through this webinar, we aim to build upon the knowledge gained from peer-to-peer exchanges facilitated by the BUILD project and our Task Force Consortium. By sharing insights and experiences, we aspire to make a significant contribution to the understanding and development of public procurement practices, particularly in the context of innovation procurement.

The webinar will feature speakers from the BUILD project, PROCEDIN, InnoBuyer, InnoFacilitator and inDemand. These experts will share their findings regarding the challenges and solutions  in advancing the public procurement of innovation. Whether you are a public procurement professional, a representative of a start-up or SME, or simply interested in the evolving landscape of procurement, this event is designed for you.

Topics and speakers in detail:

🔹 Vassilis Tsanidis from the European Innovation Council (EIC) will introduce the EIC’s efforts in innovation procurement and present the call “Support to test EIC innovations for public and private procurers” from the EIC 2023 Work Programme. 

🔹 Anna Torz, project manager at Civitta , BUILDs project partner, will shed light on their involvement and contributions to the world of innovation procurement presenting also the coordinated BUILD project developments to empower cities for innovation.

🔹 Valentina Schippers,  coordinator of the Urban Agenda Partnership on Innovative and Responsible Public Procurement, representing PROCEDIN‘s project partner, will deliver an engaging presentation on “Innovation Procurement: How does it work in practice?” 

🔹 Jorge Gonzalez, director of Ticbiomed, partner of InDemand and InnoBuyer projects, will share valuable strategies on making innovation more impactful.
